In 2021, the first ASLEF delegation attended TUC Disabled Workers’ Conference, bringing together representatives from all unions affiliated to the TUC to discuss issues in the workplace and wider society that disproportionally impact disabled people. The ASLEF delegation to the online conference comprised Tom Harcourt (Disabled Members’ Forum Secretary, District 8) and Paul Miles (Disabled Members’ Forum member, District 7) and the ASLEF motion on the need to increase the visibility of disabled workers was passed by conference.
