ASLEF is part of Rail Unites for Inclusion (RUI), a body that promotes equity, equality, diversity and inclusion across the rail industry, addressing issues faced by both employees and passengers.
ASLEF is also part of the working group for the menopause, with Kerry Cassidy (Women’s Representative Committee, District 7) and Peter Mason (Freightliner Intermodal Company Council Secretary) taking part in an online panel event discussing issues around the menopause. The event aimed to ensure that no one is afraid or embarrassed to talk about the menopause and give employees the confidence to ask for help and support if they need it.
