2021: Unveiling of a blue plaque to honour Britain’s first black train driver

ASLEF attended the unveiling of a plaque at King’s Cross station to commemorate Wilston Samuel Jackson as part of Black History Month 2021. Wilston was Britain’s first black train driver, a member of ASLEF and strong advocate for the trade union movement.
