AAD in 2019 adopted a motion which saw the creation of a disabled members forum to represent train drivers with disabilities.
Having a disability is not necessary a barrier to train driving, and the new forum at its first meeting in February 2020, decided to prioritise improving the visibility of members with disabilities, and striving to create more open and supportive workplaces.
