2003: Equality Monitoring Forms

At the 2003 AAD, delegates were issued with equality monitoring forms for the first time. The information was collected anonymously from each delegate.

Monitoring diversity is essential as it gives a picture of the demographics of members attending conference. Without knowing the current situation, it is impossible to set targets and improve diversity.

In the introduction of these forms the union followed best practice as set by the TUC at the time and continue to do so today.
